A man who had been reported missing from his home south of Inverness was traced by police “safe and well” following extensive search efforts.
Joiner Zdzislaw Palucki – known locally as JJ – had last been seen leaving his home at Dalvourn campsite near Farr in his white Ford Transit van at about 4pm on Wednesday.
Police grew increasingly concerned for the 61-year-old’s wellbeing, deploying several search methods and re-issuing an appeal for members of the public to come forward to help trace Mr Palucki.
The missing man was eventually traced “safe and well” by officers on Saturday evening, bringing an end a near three-day search.
A spokesman for the force said: “We are pleased to report that Zdzislaw Palucki has been traced safe and well.
“We would like to thank all persons who assisted in this inquiry.”
Searches were carried out near the area where Mr Palucki had last been seen, with specialist search units and dogs deployed while officers stopped motorists on Friday afternoon to see if they had seen him.
