North-east gamers are in for a treat this weekend as the region’s biggest gaming convention comes to town.
4TheGamers (4TG) will be held in the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) this weekend.
The event follows the huge success of the Granite City Comic Con, attended by more than 4,000 people.
Fans can expect panel discussions from Indie dev professionals hosted by the IGDA Scotland, and a bring your own computer event, with players able to join several e-sports tournaments for titles including Halo5: Guardians, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, and Call of Duty Black Ops III.
Convention goers will be treated to a panel by big name Twitch and YouTube streamers such as Lt Zonda, RossiHD and Kelly Jean on Sunday.
Alexa Scott, one of the organisers, said: “This will be a festival of gaming – no other event in the North-east of Scotland has had such a diverse range for gamers all under one roof.
“With the level of demand this will be the first of many yearly events.”
Tickets are available at the door, however, organisers encourage fans to buy online to secure their places ahead of time, as the event looks to be busy.
