Firefighters were called to a north-east farm yesterday after a tractor went on fire in a field.
Several people, including the farmer, alerted the fire service at shortly before 12.30pm.
Two fire engines, from North Anderson Drive and Kintore, attended the scene at Tertowie, near Kinellar.
A fire service spokesman said: “We received calls from a few people saying a tractor was on fire in a field.
“It was in a field. There were also some bales on fire.”
Nine firefighters tackled the fire using one jet, one hosereel jet and two breathing apparatus.
It was brought under control at 1.40pm.
