Police have closed three roads in Aberdeenshire because of the poor conditions. They are the A93 Glenshee-Braemar, the B974 Banchory-Fettercairn and the A939 Gairnshiel-Corgarff. Driving on the A9 south of Inverness is also difficult because of blizzards and there are warnings of high winds at the Skye Bridge.
