Aberdeen coastguard made the discovery between Findochty and Portknockie at around 6.15 pm. They sent three vessels and were joined by Buckie lifeboat in the search. Police were at the scene but were not required to assist. A coastguard spokesman said: “We were called to assist in the search for a missing person on the Moray coast. “A body was discovered at about quarter past six. “We were joined by Buckie lifeboat and the police.” A police spokeswoman said: “There are no suspicious circumstances. “Officers are currently with the family of the man.”
