A £7million revamp of an iconic north-east concert venue has taken another step forward.
Two planning application have been submitted to Aberdeen City Council as part of a proposed renovation of the Music Hall, one for listed building consent and another for a new access ramp at the front of the site.
The project will involve creating a new studio space, restoring an renovating the auditorium, improving artistic accommodation, creating a new box office and making the 155-year-old building more environmentally friendly.
Last night councillors welcomed this development.

Deputy council leader Marie Boulton added: “I hope it will be before the planning committee for determination in the near future.”
