Torrential rain has led to severe flooding in parts of Aberdeen.
Residents woke up to a glorious sunny morning, some even pulled on shorts and t-shirts, however, around 3pm the rain and thunder started
A yellow “be aware” weather warning for heavy showers had been issued earlier by the Met Office.
A number of roads across the city were affected by the flash floods.
Streets known to be affected by the flooding include Market Street, Hardgate, Portree Avenue, Froghall Road and Golf Road, Westburn Road, Pittodrie and Holburn Street..
Aberdeen FC had to close the ticket office and club shop at Pittodrie stadium after surrounding roads flooded.
A spokeswoman for Aberdeen City Council said: “Due to the extremely heavy rain in Aberdeen this afternoon, there are several on-going flooding and roads issues.

“Streets known to be affected by flooding include Market Street (south-bound between Virginia Street junction and Union Square turn-off), Hardgate, Portree Avenue, Froghall Road and Golf Road.
“Aberdeen City Council is delivering sandbags to homes and businesses in the affected areas and people can pick up sandbags from its Tullos Road Depot. The depot will stay open until 8pm and there will also be a night watch staff member after then.
“Traffic lights have been reported as having failed at the Victoria Road/South Esplanade junction and the City Council is working to resolve the problem.”
The rain follows similar downpours on Saturday which resulted in traffic problems across the city with a number of road closures.
