Aberdeen has been hit by flash flooding today as torrential rain, heavy wind, thunder and lightning have returned.
A number of roads have been flooded with police and fire services currently seeing to a number of flood scenes across the city, while businesses have been forced to close their doors for the day.
A spokesperson for Bon Accord & St Nicholas Shopping Centre said: “As a result of the unprecedented rainfall in Aberdeen today, both the Bon Accord and St Nicholas malls and car parks experienced a number of isolated leaks and flooding.
“Our maintenance team is currently working to resolve the issues and we’d like to apologise to our shoppers for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
A number of roads across the city have been hit by flash flooding, with the area around Holburn Street, Pittodrie and Westburn Drive particularly badly hit, as shown in the pictures below.
