Emergency services were called to the A9 Inverness to Perth Road at around 1am after a vehicle belonging to the Co-Operative store caught fire. The vehicle has been destroyed completely and emergency services are waiting for it to be recovered. The road is closed in a northbound direction with motorists being diverted down the B851 road and up the B861. A police spokesman said: “We were called at 1am and the road is still closed. “We expect to be there for some time yet.” More to follow.
