Keith Show cancelled due to poor weather

The Monday of Keith Country Show has been cancelled after stormy weather hit the Moray region overnight.

Organisers made the announcement on the event’s Facebook page at 3.30am this morning.

One of the organisers, Davie Milne, posted: “Monday Keith Show 2014 is Cancelled.

“Unfortunately due to the extreme weather conditions the show has had to be cancelled.

“The committee will try to contact as many exhibitors as possible to spread the bad news. I would ask that you share this in order to get the word round quickly so as to avoid anybody making a wasted trip.”

Roads and train lines in Elgin, Keith and Forres were all hit by flooding this morning – with commuters struggling to get to work in the morning.
