The two cars collided on the B9089 between Kinloss and Roseisle at about noon today. One of the vehicles burst into flames, while the other ended up on its side in a field. Police have confirmed one man in his 20s, who is believed to be local, has died as a result. Two elderly motorists suffered minor injuries. A spokesman said: “It is expected the road will remain closed for some time.”
