Firefighters are currently tackling a fire on a fishing vessel in the Port Henry Harbour in Peterhead.
Around 40 firefighter from Peterhead, Maud, Ellon and Fraserburgh were sent to the incident after the alarm was raised at 5.39am. Police, the coastguard and Peterhead RNLI lifeboat team are also in attendance.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said meetings were taking place between all agencies involved and a jet was being used to cool down the exterior metalwork. She added they were “making progress”.
A Police Scotland spokesman said there was not believed to anyone on board. He added there were three crew members but all had been accounted for.
