People were evacuated to a rescue centre this evening as a fire spread to nearby buildings after ripping through a fish factory in Peterhead.
Tens of firefighters were called to the blaze from across Aberdeenshire as fears rose that it could ignite chemicals at North Bay Pelagic on Kirk Square.
The fire and rescue service confirmed 10 crews and several specialist units were still at the site and teams would be stationed there throughout the night.
Residents of nearby Erroll Street have been evacuated to Peterhead Academy overnight.
Fire services say the blaze is now under control but they expect it to carry on burning throughout the night.
The blaze started at around 3pm today and could be seen for miles around.
