Firefighters are battling to protect hundreds of animals as an inferno burns at an Angus farm.
Appliances from across Dundee have arrived at East Denside Farm, near Monike, to control the fire.
One building is said to be well alight and efforts are being made to prevent the spread of the fire to an adjacent barn building which houses 300 pigs are within that barn.
An attempt to move the animals to a safer area is thought to have failed.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 12pm, with appliances from Kingsway and Balhousie fire stations leading the rescue effort. .
The fire has been described as “fairly extensive”.
“One farm building is fully involved in the fire,” a spokeswoman for Scottish Fire and Rescue said.
