The Met Office has issued an amber “be aware” warning for the whole of Scotland.
Travellers can expect major disruption as high winds and snow take their toll on transports services and roads.
Fallen trees are blocking several roads in Moray and Aberdeenshire.
Ferry services are facing major disruptions and Scot rail have confirmed all services are currently suspended.
The A93 is closed between Braemar and Spittal of Glennshee due to snow.
Skye Bridge and Dornoch Bridge is closed and Kessock Bridge is partially closed.

Roadworks are still in place on St Machar Drive in Tillydrone.
Multiple schools have been closed across Aberdeenshire, Moray, Scottish islands and Highlands.
Flights haven’t been too badly hit to and from Aberdeen Airport this morning – however, there are some cancellations and delays.
