Overnight snow has closed several roads in the north as wintry weather continues to sweep the country.
Motorists are advised to plan journeys in advance where possible and drive cautiously as conditions persist.
Here’s a breakdown of road closures so far:
B974 Banchory – Fettercairn
B976 Crathie – Gairnshiel
B9002 Lumsden – Cabrach
A939 Ballater – Corgarff
A941 Dufftown – Rhynie
A93 Glenshee – Braemar (Snow Gate 16)
Traffic delays:
An overturned gritter near Forfar is causing delays on the A90.
The A90 is closed southbound at Brechin due to an overturned lorry – tailbacks as far as Laurencekirk.
Congestion is also building on the A90 near Ellon – cars are reportedly lined up back to the B&Q roundabout.
And on a non-weather related note:
Those commuting this morning should look for the usual congestion in Aberdeen around Holburn Junction, Haudagain Roundabout and the Beach Boulevard.
Long term roadworks are in place at Machar Drive and could cause delays.
Elsewhere, Charlotte Street and Uphill Lane in Peterhead are still closed following a fire in a fish factory.
Further north, the transportation of a wind turbine between Wick and Harbour and Burn of Whilk will be ongoing until mid-March.
