A key route to Aberdeen International Airport has been closed after a nearby water main burst this morning.
Police were called out to Dyce Drive at 6.30am after a passerby spotted a large amount of water on the road.
A diversion has been been put in place in to enable motorists to travel to and from the airport.
Incoming traffic is being diverted to the airport via Kirkhill Road then onto Forties Road.
Commuters coming from the airport will still be able to go up Argyll Road and onto Dyce Drive.
Scottish Water was also called to the scene to inspect the damage.
A spokesman for the firm said: “We have attended to a burst water main on Dyce Drive, near the entrance to Aberdeen International Airport this morning and have made alterations to our network to ensure supplies stay in place to nearby homes and businesses.
“Repair work is now being planned to reinstate the road and footpath.
“We apologise to local people affected by this issue with our network and we wish to assure them that we are working to reinstate the road and footpath as soon as possible.”
