A three dimensional map has been revealed showing exactly how the doomed Germanwings plane descended towards the French Alps before horrifically crashing.
The plane fell more than 30,000 feet over ten minutes just before it lost radar contact with nearby airports.
Seconds before the final radar signals were received, the plane’s final altitude was recorded at a mere 6,800 feet. Moments later all contact with the plane was lost in the French Alps.
Emergency services are currently on the way to the scene, however it is estimated that it will take several hours to reach the site due to the mountainous terrain.
