Rangers fell to a 3-0 defeat in the second leg of the Premiership play off final today but the most disturbing scene came after the final whistle when Rangers defender Bilel Mohsni punched Motherwell striker Lee Erwin.
The disgraced Rangers defender reportedly refused to shake Erwin’s hand after the defeat, prompting the Well striker to push the Tunisian centre half and the defender was then caught on camera kicking the Motherwell youngster before punching him in the face.
The defender was already expected to leave the Gers in the summer but he now faces a lengthy ban, whatever league he may be playing in next season.
Both Mohsni and Erwin were sent off, as well as Motherwell’s Fraser Kerr following the altercation, while a number of players and officials are believed to have got involved as the drama continued down the tunnel.
More to follow.
