Police are appealing for information to trace a missing north-east woman. Amanda Pickens was last seen on Tuesday, November 1, but failed to keep an appointment with her sister the following afternoon. No one has heard from Ms Pickens, from Banff, since then. The 48-year-old is described as being 5ft 6in tall with black, shoulder-length hair. She has an English accent and is believed to be wearing a jacket and trousers. A spokeswoman for the police said it was “out of character” for her to not be in touch with her family, who have expressed concern for her well-being. Anyone with information or sightings of Ms Pickens is asked to contact police on 101 or at their nearest police office.
