A music festival abandoned after its site turned into a sea of mud is to make a return this summer.
Derbyshire’s Y Not festival was cancelled over safety concerns in July 2017 after torrential downpours hit the site.
Before it was halted, festival-goers shared photos and videos of the swamp-like conditions while several bands, including Happy Mondays, Two Door Cinema Club and The Vaccines, were unable to perform.
Unperturbed by last year’s experience, organisers have unveiled a new site adjacent to its former home which will “address some of the challenges of the previous site location”.

They said the Aston Hill Farm venue in the Peak District allows for better access points for vehicles and promised there would be clear routes between the campsite and arena.
Organiser Simon Mawbey said: “We understand how important it is to keep the public informed every step of the way and so we hope they are reassured by the improvements being made for this year, including our new site at Aston Hill Farm.”
Y Not Festival will take place between July 27 and 29 2018.
