Saturday Night Takeaway producers have teased the show’s script as Declan Donnelly prepares to host it solo for the first time in its history.
The presenter will be without Ant McPartlin for the penultimate episode in the series, although Scarlett Moffatt and Stephen Mulhern will be on hand in their regular support roles.
Hours before the live show, the programme’s official Twitter account previewed the script which confirmed Dec would be hosting alone.
They wrote: “Just a little photo to prove that we don’t just wing it, there is actually a script!”
The snap shows the front page of the script which reads, “Hosted by Declan Donnelly”.
Fans on social media responded to the post by offering messages of good luck to Dec.
@HarveysGirl04 tweeted: “Good luck dec. you can do this. i believe in you. sending all my love and support for tonight.”
@MHaworth999999 wrote: “Dec. The whole of Britian is behind you mate. Go out and do what you do best and that’s make people laugh.”
@Be_Kind posted: “Good luck Dec and the team, you’ll smash it! Ant, we will miss you, get well soon and come back stronger.”
On Friday, Dec revealed he was heading for rehearsals solo in a message on Twitter.
He wrote: “Back in studio today preparing your #SaturdayNightTakeaway for tomorrow night. Have a great Good Friday! D x.”
Dec, 42, who recently confirmed he is going to be a father, will also present next week’s final episode in Florida.
McPartlin has stepped back from his TV commitments and returned to rehab after he was charged with drink driving earlier this month.
He will feature in the episode as part of the duo’s pre-recorded Saturday Knight Takeaway sketch after ITV decided it should be broadcast.
McPartlin will appear in court on April 4.
