Middleton Park School has been shortlisted for the Learning and the Technologies Award – which recognises their use of ICT to enhance learning. The school creates a weekly news report called ‘Live Learning’, which allows pupils to share their work with a global audience. Bucksburn Academy has also been named as a finalist, and is in the running to win the Sustainable Schools Award. Sustainability topics are taught across the curriculum and pupils are encouraged to take the skills they have learnt beyond the classroom. The finalists will attend an awards ceremony in Glasgow on Tuesday June 10 where the winners will be announced.
