Piranha has been crowned the winner of The Masked Singer 2024.
After host Joel Dommett led chants for the singer to take off their mask, the celebrity was revealed to be Danny Jones from McFly.
The runner-up in the series, which sees celebrities sing anonymously from behind an elaborate costume, was star of The Last Leg, Alex Brooker – who had been dressed as Bigfoot, and in third place was Cricket, who was revealed to be singer Lemar.
Following his win Jones, 37, said: “I’ve had the most amazing time.
“I can escape behind here as Piranha and just sing these songs and I’ve learned so much, I’m able to sing high now.
“Just from the show, I’ve gone up a whole tone.
“I am so happy, thank you.”
Jones has been a judge on The Voice Kids and is best known for being in boyband McFly alongside Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd.
Before he was unmasked, Rita Ora had guessed the celebrity was Jamie Cullum, while special guest panellist Rob Brydon thought it could be Tom Grennan.
The contestants had kicked off the grand finale with a rendition of By Your Side by Calvin Harris featuring Grennan.
Cricket was the first celebrity to sing solo on the final of the ITV1 reality competition, and he performed A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton.
Bigfoot was the second contestant to perform and he chose The One And Only by Chesney Hawkes.
The guest panel correctly guessed the identity of both Cricket and Bigfoot before they were unmasked.
Piranha’s first song was Lay Me Down by Sam Smith and Jonathan Ross said the rendition “was the best performance, not just of this series but of any series”.
During the programme, Mo Gilligan wrongly guessed Jones to be Glee star Darren Criss.
In between performances, Doctor Who star David Tennant appeared via video to read a bedtime story laden with clues about the celebrities’ identities.
The finalists were also joined by former contestants to perform duets during the show.
Cricket performed Rewrite The Stars from The Greatest Showman with singer Charlotte Church, who had appeared previously as Mushroom.
Bigfoot sang Dancing On The Ceiling by Lionel Richie alongside Kaiser Chiefs’ frontman Ricky Wilson, who was dressed as Phoenix.
The last duet was between Piranha and singer Natalie Appleton, who sang Believe by Cher while dressed in her Fawn costume.
After this, Cricket was unmasked following a public vote and Piranha and Bigfoot were told they would need to sing one last time in an attempt to win the competition.
Bigfoot opted to sing You’re Welcome from the film Moana, while Piranha won with his performance of It’s All Coming Back To Me Now by Celine Dion.
