My name is Ryan Cryle - I am the joint sports editor of The Press and Journal/Evening Express, based in Aberdeen, my home city, with our sports team spread across both Aberdeen and Inverness.
I have been a journalist with DC Thomson since graduating from Cardiff University's journalism school in 2015, and I am focused on ensuring we cover all important sports stories in the north of Scotland - including those centered on Aberdeen Football Club, our other Scottish Professional Football League sides, and the Scottish Highland Football League.
My own work ranges from interviews with Dons players past and present, transfer exclusives, features of athletes, coverage of football matches and other sporting events - which has included, over the years, European away games, Tour of Britain cycling, The Open, BBC Sports Personality of the Year, Battle of the Brits tennis and CrossFit/strongman's Rogue Invitational - while I also host our award-winning Highland League Weekly highlights show and events for our P&J/EE subscribers.
