Marathon Oil submits plans to exit Brae

Marathon Oil has reportedly submitted plans to shut down its Brae field in the North Sea after suffering a series of gas leaks on the platforms.

The move comes after a gas leak on Boxing Day on the Brae Alpha rig which was categorised as “major”.
