Veep star Julia Louis-Dreyfus has spoken about how much she misses celebrating with her co-stars at the Screen Actors Guild Awards as she is treated for breast cancer.
The star made history when she became the first TV actress to win five individual trophies at the ceremony by bagging the outstanding performance by a female actor in a comedy series, but was not present to collect her gong.

The Seinfeld star announced she had been diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2017, a few days after winning her sixth consecutive Emmy for her role in the political satire.
The show enjoyed a winning night at the SAGs, where it won the award for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series.

Louis-Drefus wrote on Twitter: “I wish I could have been @SAGawards tonight but have to admit it’s pretty fun to watch in my pj’s.
“So honored to win. So proud to be a union member. So happy for my @VeepHBO bozos for winning ensemble award. Miss being at the table with you all. How was the chicken?”

Production on the show was halted after Louis-Dreyfus’s diagnosis but is expected to resume later this year.
