The Shape Of Water’s Sally Hawkins was nominated for best actress as was Ireland’s Saoirse Ronan for her role in Lady Bird, it was announced in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
Christopher Nolan was nominated for best director for Dunkirk which is up for best picture where it faces Joe Wright’s Darkest Hour and Martin McDonagh’s Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
Oldman was nominated for best actor fresh off his success at the Golden Globes and the Screen Actors Guild Awards for his portrayal of Winston Churchill in Darkest Hour.
London’s Kaluuya, 28, was nominated for his role in Get Out while triple Oscar-winner Day-Lewis was selected for his role in Phantom Thread, hosts Tiffany Haddish and Andy Serkis announced.
Jimmy Kimmel will host the Oscars from Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre on March 4.
