Jennifer Lawrence has some choice words for Harvey Weinstein after he used the actress’s name in an attempt to get a class action lawsuit against him dismissed.
Weinstein’s lawyers used favourable quotes about him from Lawrence and Meryl Streep from previous interviews.
He later apologised after being criticised by the Hollywood actresses.
Now Red Sparrow actress Lawrence has told The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, in the US: “He is just that horrible ass boil that does not go away.
“You pop the ass boil — he’s just the worst. When is it going to end?”
She said that she had to come up with her response to Weinstein’s statement “in the middle of the night.”
Six women are suing Weinstein and the “Weinstein Sexual Enterprise” – which they said includes his brother Bob and their co-founded studio The Weinstein Company – claiming they conspired to conceal his alleged widespread sexual harassment.
Weinstein’s lawyers had selectively pointed to Lawrence saying in a previous interview that the disgraced movie mogul “had only ever been nice to me”, although they did not mention her adding: “Except for the moments that he wasn’t, and then I called him an asshole.”
Streep had also fired back at Weinstein, after his lawyers cited her saying she was never harassed by the producer.
Streep said the action was “pathetic and exploitative”.
Weinstein has denied all allegations of non-consensual sex.
