Olympic gold medallist Helen Glover has revealed the name of her newborn son.
The Team GB rower welcomed the child with her TV presenter husband Steve Backshall on July 24.
On Tuesday, she shared the baby’s name with fans, revealing he was called Logan James David Backshall.
Alongside a picture of her cradling the baby, Glover tweeted: “Thanks everyone for your lovely messages.”
Glover, a gold medallist from Cornwall, had been expecting twins but lost one of the babies in April.
Earlier on Tuesday, she shared pictures of herself holding Logan. The images were captioned: “Can’t believe this was a week ago! #oneweekold #babyboy @SteveBackshall.”
TV wildlife expert Backshall said on Instagram and Twitter after the birth: “The biggest adventure begins.”
Glover, 32, and Backshall, 45, married in September 2016 after dating for around two years.
Glover and her rowing partner Heather Stanning won Britain’s first gold medal at the London Olympics in 2012, and in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 they took gold again, becoming the first British female rowers to defend their Olympic crown.
