Justin Timberlake has failed to top the charts with his new album Man Of The Woods despite his Super Bowl half-time performance.
The US singer has debuted on the albums chart in second place, behind The Greatest Showman soundtrack, which has now notched up a fifth consecutive week at number one.
Timberlake’s new album, only his second of five to miss the top spot, was released two days before he took to the stage at the US sporting event on Sunday.

The Greatest Showman release, which accompanies the hit musical film starring Hugh Jackman and Michelle Williams, has finished this week with just over double the combined sales of Timberlake, the Official Charts Company said.
Ed Sheeran’s former chart-topper Divide is still in the top five at number three.
Walk Between Worlds by Simple Minds has debuted at number four – the band’s highest-charting album in 23 years – above Bedford rockers Don Broco’s new effort Technology at number five.
Over on the singles chart, rapper Drake has claimed a third week at number one with God’s Plan.
London band Rudimental are at number two with latest single These Days, featuring Jess Glynne, Macklemore and Dan Caplen, after a boost, jumping up from 11th place last week.
Despite not reaching the chart peak, the song has become the most downloaded single of the past week.
British rapper Ramz is at number three with his breakout hit Barking, Dua Lipa’s IDGAF is at four and River by Eminem featuring Sheeran rounds off the top five.
Elsewhere, sleeper hit Feel It Still by American rock band Portugal. The Man has broken into the top 10 for the first time after growing in popularity over the past 28 weeks since entering the top 100, charting at number nine.
