Classical singer Camilla Kerslake has married former England rugby captain Chris Robshaw.
Kerslake and Robshaw, who had been engaged since 2015, tied the knot in a humanist ceremony in Provence, France – their “dream” location – in front of 50 guests.
Soprano Kerslake, who wore a dress designed by Jenny Packham for the big day, told Hello! magazine: “The Cote d’Azur is our favourite place in the world and we wanted to share that with our nearest and dearest.
“It was everything we’d dreamt of.”
Kerslake’s gown was comprised of a white tulle skirt with an appliqued bodice and veil, while sports star Robshaw opted for a pale blue suit by bespoke suit label Dress2Kill.
The couple’s ceremony was held at Le Preverger, a historic chateau at the end of June, three days after they officially married at Chelsea Old Town Hall in London.
Kerslake, 29, said that both she and her mother made speeches at the wedding, adding: “We wanted a light-hearted, loving occasion.
“It was an equal opportunities wedding in terms of speeches. My parents love Chris like a son and Mum talked about the joining of our two families.
“My contribution was a bit more raucous. I got everyone standing on their chairs to belt out Can’t Take My Eyes Off You by Frankie Valli.”
Robshaw described the moment he first saw Kerslake on the big day.
“I watched her the whole way. She looked so beautiful; I felt proud and emotional,” he said.
Guests at the reception enjoyed drinks of English sparkling wine on the terrace at the private venue, before a supper of scallops, turbot and creme brulee.
Kerslake and Robshaw’s first dance was a choreographed routine to California King Bed by Rihanna.
“Chris is the world’s worst dancer,” Kerslake said.
“But for our first dance he did dips, loops, and even a lift.”
