On Tuesday, the singer-songwriter’s wife, Iman, posted a tribute to Bowie on Instagram.
In green letters on a pink background, she shared a message reading: “My memory loves you. It asks about you all the time.”
Imam, a Somali fashion model who wed Bowie in 1992, later posted a picture of the pair together and wrote in the caption: “Jan 8th Eternal Memories, Eternal Love #BowieForever.”
The couple have an 18-year-old daughter together, Alexandria ‘Lexi’ Zahraand, while Bowie also has a son, Duncan Jones, from his marriage with Angela Bowie.
Bowie died on January 10 2016 in New York following a battle with cancer. He was born in Brixton, London, in 1947.
He formed his first band at the age of 15 before going on to enjoy a career defined by reinvention and daring visual presentation.
