Calvin Harris said doctors had to “restart” his heart in 2014.
The Scottish DJ, 36, had previously told of his health problems and revealed he had an irregular heartbeat.
Speaking about the 2014 incident, he described the year as “interesting” and tweeted: “Started with me knocking myself off number 1 in the UK and ended with my heart getting restarted in the ER…”
Harris, a Grammy and Ivor Novello winner, was already one of the world’s biggest DJs in 2014, thanks to worldwide hits including We Found Love and Summer.
In November of that year he pulled out of the MTV EMAs in Glasgow and tweeted: “No EMAs for me this weekend. Got some heart problems.
“Heading home to see if it can be fixed x.”
And in 2018 Harris said he had given up alcohol four years earlier and that while “things are a bit less fun” he had not had an irregular heartbeat since.
