Celebrity Big Brother’s Jess Impiazzi appears to ruffle Ann Widdecombe when she says the public should not have been allowed to vote on Brexit.
The glamour girl, who previously admitted she did not vote, started talking politics with Widdecombe and actress Amanda Barrie during a quiet moment in the house.
Discussing Brexit, she announced: “I don’t think it should have ever been put to the public in the first place.”
As Barrie chimed in with her agreement, Widdecombe was clearly trying to get a word in. “But…”, she tried, before the others talked over her.
Impiazzi went on: “I don’t think that decision should have ever been left to us,” prompting another few “buts” from Widdecombe, who was looking increasingly desperate to speak.
Barrie shouted: “Some people thought it was a breakfast cereal!”
When Widdecombe finally had the chance to speak she pointed out: “But, we went in by public referendum, and therefore we couldn’t have come out without a public referendum.”
But her housemates did not appear to hear her, with the model discussing the leave campaign and Barrie muttering about the public needing more information.
Widdecombe seemed a little happier when Impiazzi said she liked Prime Minister Theresa May, but looked stunned when the pin-up said her friends were “completely Jeremy Corbyn”.
“Corbyn!” Widdecombe gasped, rolling her eyes.
Celebrity Big Brother airs at 9pm on Channel 5.
