Jill Halfpenny has said she has no fear of ageing and gets better roles since turning 40.
The actress plays a wrestler who has to don the Lycra one more time in new film Walk Like A Panther.
The 42-year-old told the Daily Mirror: “You get a perspective on life as you get older, and you know what is important and what isn’t, and if someone doesn’t like what I’m wearing or how I look, that’s fine, that’s their opinion.”
She said: “Ageing is going to happen, it’s happening. I have got signs of ageing all over my body, all over my face, my hair, my hands. It is what it is.
“I’m not going to run around screaming ‘I’ve got a grey hair’.”
She added: “I get to do more interesting things now.”
The ex-Strictly Come Dancing star said she enjoyed training with wrestlers for her new role.
“They could have given me more and more and more, I was well up for all the wrestling,” she added.
