Poldark star Eleanor Tomlinson is to release a debut album of folk-influenced covers.
The actress has covered the likes of Simon & Garfunkel and Carole King on Tales From Home as well as a number of traditional Irish and Scottish folk songs.
The 25-year-old makes it a family affair on one track, The Spinning Wheel, as she duets with her brother, Ross Tomlinson.
The record is produced by the woman behind Poldark’s soundtrack, the Oscar-winning composer Anne Dudley, who has worked with the likes of Sir Elton John, Tina Turner and Robbie Williams.
Tomlinson has covered Simon & Garfunkel’s Homeward Bound, Carole King’s Tapestry and blues singer Bonnie Raitt’s I Can’t Make You Love Me.
She said she had been inspired to make the album by Poldark fans, adding: “To have the opportunity to perform some of my favourite songs with Anne Dudley’s brilliant new arrangements has been wonderful, not to mention working alongside my brother Ross.
“I’m incredibly excited to announce the release of my debut album Tales From Home.”
Best known for her role as Demelza Poldark in the hit series, Tomlinson recently starred in the Vincent Van Gogh biopic, Loving Vincent.
Tales From Home will be released on Sony Music Masterworks in May.
