Broadcaster Helen Skelton saw off competition from Love Island’s Camilla Thurlow as the two TV stars entered the boxing ring for Sport Relief.
Countryfile’s Skelton was pitted against the reality TV star while The Saturdays’ Vanessa White was victorious over S Club 7’s Hannah Spearritt.
The four celebrities were watched by double-Olympic boxing champion Nicola Adams in Salford on Thursday night with the fights airing as part of BBC One’s Sport Relief coverage on Friday.
Skelton said: “This has been tough as it’s involved taking on another personality – I have never hit anyone in the face.
“But I didn’t want to let my coach down, I wanted to try and do the sport justice and get the win.
“I have been helped by so many people and I did it for them. Boxing sums up what Sport Relief is about, people helping those who might not get support elsewhere. I have fallen for the sport.”
White said: “I loved being able to put all my training with Charlie and the England Boxing team into action and it’s paid off – I won.
“I can’t believe it. It was tough but it makes it all worth it knowing that it was for such a good cause.”
A third fight took place on Friday between former footballer Wayne Bridge and Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, and also aired during the Sport Relief broadcast.
Bridge was crowned the champion over Matthews, and he said he was determined to win right from the start.
He said: “I think as an ex-sportsman I’ve always had that inner determination and competitiveness – and this bout definitely highlighted that.
“I wasn’t going to leave there without being victorious and I was focused on that from the start. My words for Spencer… good match mate, you put up a good fight and respect for getting in the ring.”
