Love Island contestant Rosie Williams has said her appearance on the ITV2 show will be a shock for her former partner, reality TV star Jordan Davies.
Viewers saw the solicitor, 26, from Glamorgan in south Wales on-screen for the first time along with performance arts student and bartender Georgia Steel, 20, in a tease ahead of them entering the villa.
Speaking ahead of her entrance Williams, 26, revealed Davies was the last person she was in a relationship with before the show.
Davies previously appeared on reality TV shows Ex On The Beach on MTV and ITV2’s Ibiza Weekender.
Confirming Davies did not know she would be going on Love Island, Williams said: “I think it is going to be quite a shock for him.
“I don’t think he would think it was something I would ever do but obviously that’s nothing to do with him anymore.”
“We were together when he was filming the shows he was in. I don’t think he behaved in a way a boyfriend would.
“But we’re fine now, its all in the past and I’ve lived and learned from it.”
Williams said she was looking forward to challenging viewers’ perceptions about solicitors and she believed appearing on the show would in no way affect her career in the profession.
She said: “Love Island is one of the very reality shows that can keep it quite classy.
“There have been people with very successful careers with high ambitions for the future going on the show.”
“It stretches out to a wide range of people.”
Williams was joined by aspiring actress Steel who is originally from York but works at a bar in Chelsea, west London.
Steel, who grew up on a barn conversion in the countryside where her father repairs and sells tractors, described herself as “one of the most honest people you could meet”.
When asked if she thought having sex on the programme could damage her chances of landing acting jobs after the show Steel said: “No, I don’t.
“I feel that it is wrong of people who don’t have the experience of being in the villa to make criticisms when they haven’t been there themselves.”
Love Island continues on ITV2 at 9pm.
