Love Island viewers confessed to shedding tears of joy as Dani Dyer agreed to be Jack Fincham’s girlfriend.
The pair have been coupled up since early in the ITV2 reality show and have been open about developing strong feelings for each other.
In Sunday night’s episode, Jack decides he wants to make things official and pops the question, asking Dani to be his girlfriend.
“You mean more to me now. Before I knew I really liked you, but this time it’s different,” he said.
“I told you, I’ve really got feelings for you. Honestly, I meant it. I mean it.
“I really do feel like it’s the start of something with us two.”
A tearful looking Dani quickly agrees, admitting to feeling “overwhelmed”.
Fans were evidently feeling the same, with many saying they were in tears.
“Jack asking dani to be his girlfriend was the definition of goals and i cant stop crying. need that in my life please,” one wrote on Twitter.
“Actually crying with joy at the tv. It’s like a disney movie,” said another.
Another person tweeted: “Sobbing over #LoveIsland, so happy for Dani. Jack looks so delighted too ugh so cute.”
Dani later teased that her Love Island boyfriend would have to take second place behind the main man in her life – her EastEnders star father Danny Dyer.
She says in the Beach Hut: “I hope my dad’s happy. Me and my dad, we’re still going to go for sushi and that. Because Jack doesn’t like that.
“My dad’s got my first place in my heart.
“And Jack can have the second.”
Earlier, the actor tweeted that he was missing his “baby girl” while she was on the show.
He said that while it was good to see Dani thriving on the programme, he was missing her being at home.
“I know she’s doing well….holding her own and all that bollocks… but It’s gotta be declared…I proper miss my baby girl now…” he posted, adding the hastags “#firstborn #Dani #loveisland”.
Love Island continues on ITV2.
