Former Love Island contestant Zara McDermott has admitted she found it difficult watching former partner Adam Collard kissing Darylle Sargeant after she was dumped from the show.
Adam was one of four contestants dumped from the ITV2 reality show during Thursday’s recoupling. Also to exit the villa was his partner Darylle, who Adam coupled up with in Casa Amor following Zara’s departure.
Since leaving the programme Adam has confessed he is happy to leave the show, and that he is excited to reunite with Zara who he said he has “genuine feelings” for.
Speaking alongside another of Adam’s former partners Rosie Williams on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, Zara revealed she had yet to hear from Adam.
The former Government adviser also admitted to presenters Kate Garraway and Ranvir Singh she found it difficult to watch Adam’s relationship with Darylle develop.
Zara said: “I wasn’t shocked, because in order for him to stay in he had to couple up with someone. So I wasn’t shocked that he coupled up, it’s just the fact that that Darylle world’s apart from me and Rosie. We all look very different.”
“I’ve not heard from him. I think he needs to pull his finger out a little bit. It wasn’t easy watching him kiss someone else on TV so soon after me separated.”
When asked by Garraway if her perception of Adam had changed since they were separated, Zara replied: “The weird thing is, the Adam I watch on TV and the Adam I know in the villa are two very different people, it’s weird. I think I will have to wait until I speak to him in person.”
Rosie said that she and Zara would be going for dinner together and added that Adam needed to prove himself to Zara.
