Love Island winners Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham have said the first thing they want to do now they are back in the UK is pay a visit to restaurant chain Nando’s.
The couple triumphed in the ITV2 reality show after legions of fans were charmed by their blossoming romance.
Jack told the Press Association: “I feel so good, this is so surreal, I don’t know what to do with myself. It’s weird being back in England.”
He added that the main thing he is looking forward to is some peri-peri chicken, saying: “I just want to go for a Nando’s, that is all I want to do.
“I’ve missed it, I’ve actually realised how much I genuinely like it since being away from it.”
Dani added: “We are going to go together, we are going to do everything together.”
The aspiring actress added that she had enjoyed finally spending a night alone together after two months sharing a bedroom with all their fellow contestants.
She said: “It was nice, we were tired but it was nice to be back out.”
The couple said they have also been in frequent communication with their families since they won the show on Monday, including Dyer’s soap star father Danny.
Dani joked: “We haven’t stopped ringing them. We are driving them mad, they don’t want to know now; they are not ringing us, we are ringing them.”
Of her EastEnders star father, she said: “He honestly is so happy for us, it is so overwhelming, I never thought he would be so happy.”
Jack added: “Isn’t it good he actually approves? We are mates now.”
The next step for the couple will be moving in together and Fincham said they will start house-hunting soon.
He said: “We are talking about the end of September. We want to have moved out by October.”
Love Island: The Reunion airs on ITV2 on Sunday at 9pm.
