This Morning host Eamonn Holmes has shared a photo of his newly married son Declan and his wife Jenny from the couple’s wedding day on Wednesday.
Holmes, 58, posted a close-up snap showing the smiling pair on his social media profiles. In a tweet above the photo, proud father Holmes wrote: “I think you’ll agree they make a lovely couple. My son Declan and his Bride Jenny now man and wife.”
Many of the broadcaster’s followers congratulated Holmes and the newly-weds, who tied the knot at a ceremony in Ireland.
The former GMTV star had posted on the big day itself: “The clans are gathering and I’m delighted to say there’s a lot of Love and happiness all around us.”
As well as passing on their best wishes to the happy couple, many of Holmes’s fans also told him they hoped he had sufficiently recovered from a recent bout of shingles to enjoy himself at the ceremony.
Holmes shared a picture of his symptoms from the infection on Instagram last Friday. A rash had spread across his face, with red marks around his swollen eye and on the top of his forehead.
In a caption next to the picture, Holmes jokingly wrote: “I know I look as though I’ve been in a scrap but honestly I haven’t.
“It’s worse than that – it’s shingles.”
Holmes married his This Morning co-host and long-term partner Ruth Langsford eight years ago. He has three children from his first marriage, Declan, Rebecca and Niall, of whom Declan is the oldest.
Holmes and Langsford also have a son, Jack, who was born in 2002.
