There are 13 new stars in the Celebrity Big Brother house for the summer 2018 series.
They include a Hollywood star, a TV psychic, a cosmetic surgery lover and a model who rose to fame after being kidnapped.
Here is the lowdown on the celebrities in the Channel 5 reality series:
Chloe Ayling
The British glamour model hit headlines last year when she was kidnapped in Italy and released after six days. She said she was drugged and bundled into a suitcase after arriving at a Milan address for a modelling job, but later had her motivations questioned in the media and some doubted her story.
In a recent court case in Italy, Polish national Lukasz Herba was sentenced to nearly 17 years in jail for Ayling’s imprisonment. Ayling, now 21, was accused in court of being involved in a “publicity stunt”.
Ryan Thomas
The actor, 34, is best known for playing Jason Grimshaw in Coronation Street from 2000 until 2016, and he recently landed a part-time role in Australian soap Neighbours.
His personal life has made headlines a few times, including when he was declared bankrupt and when he was reportedly arrested after a drunken pub brawl. He has a daughter with his former partner and fellow Corrie star Tina O’Brien, and is currently in a relationship with former The Only Way Is Essex star Lucy Mecklenburgh.
Kirstie Alley
The 67-year-old actress is best known for her role as waitress Rebecca Howe in hit US sitcom Cheers, for which she won an Emmy Award. However, she is also famous for starring in the Look Who’s Talking series of films, sitcom Veronica’s Closet and the film Drop Dead Gorgeous. She won another Emmy for her role in TV film David’s Mother.
As well as her acting, Alley’s fluctuating weight over the years attributed to her fame. She is also a member of the Church of Scientology.
Jermaine Pennant
Footballer Pennant, 35, played for Arsenal for seven years, before moving to clubs including Leeds United and Birmingham City. He was signed to play for Liverpool in 2006 for £6.7 million.
Off the pitch, his personal life has seen some knocks. He was sentenced to three months in jail for drink-driving and driving while disqualified in 2005. After his release, he became the first player to play while wearing an electronic tag and went on to join clubs including Real Zaragoza and Stoke.
Roxanne Pallett
The actress became a soap favourite in Emmerdale, playing Jo Sugden from 2005 until 2008, and, at the height of her career, was frequently included in polls declaring her one of the “sexiest women”. Since Emmerdale, she has appeared in TV programmes Waterloo Road – where she played a teenager 12 years younger than her – and Casualty, and films Lake Placid 3 and Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort.
Last month, Pallett, 35, was involved in a crash at a stock car racing track, which saw her have to be cut out of the vehicle and airlifted to hospital. She had sprained wrists and internal bruising following the incident.
She recently revealed she has become engaged to her partner, who proposed to her one week after they started dating.
Dan Osborne
The reality TV star, 27, was previously a cast member of structured reality show The Only Way Is Essex, from 2013 until 2015. He made headlines in 2015 when recordings were leaked of him reportedly verbally abusing his ex-partner, the mother of his eldest child.
He has since married and had two children with former EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa, but earlier this year, while Jossa was heavily pregnant, the pair were reported to have split, and he was romantically linked to Love Island Gabby Allen.
Gabby Allen
The fitness fanatic, 26, appeared in the third series of dating show Love Island last year, coming in fourth place with former Blazin’ Squad star Marcel Somerville. However, earlier this year their romance ended in a messy public split after Somerville cheated on her.
Allen then hit out at rumours that she had been intimate with Osborne on a trip together while he is still married to Jossa.
Rodrigo Alves
Otherwise known as The Human Ken Doll, 35-year-old Alves is a self-professed cosmetic surgery addict. A tabloid and daytime TV regular, the Brazilian personality is believed to have undergone more than £500,000 worth of plastic surgery.
Among the myriad of alterations he has undergone, Alves has had Botox, fillers, an eye and neck lift and even had ribs removed to get the physique he wants.
Natalie Nunn
American TV personality Nunn is best known to audiences for appearing in reality series Bad Girls Club, which centres around seven aggressive, unruly women and their daily altercations.
The feisty 33-year-old has also appeared in a number of other reality TV programmes in the US, including Hair Battle Spectacular, Bad Girls All-Star Battle, Love Games: Bad Girls Need Love Too and a series of Bad Girls Club called Redemption, although she was removed from the show following a physical altercation with a fellow housemate.
Nunn is reported to have had relationships with Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa and Rihanna’s brother, Rorrey Fenty.
Nick Leeson
Rogue trader Leeson was sentenced to more than six years in jail after losing hundreds of millions of pounds in risky trades that resulted in the collapse of Barings Bank, Britain’s oldest investment bank, in the mid-1990s. He went on the run for all of three days as the institution that the Queen banked with went bust in February 1995, before being arrested at Frankfurt airport.
While in prison, he wrote his autobiography Rogue Trader, which was later turned into a film starring Ewan McGregor. Leeson left prison in Singapore after serving less than four years to battle colon cancer.
Sally Morgan
Morgan, 67, is a TV and stage psychic, who has appeared in shows such as Sally Morgan: Star Psychic and The Psychic Life of Sally Morgan. She claims to have seen a ghost at the age of four, and has also penned a number of books, including Life After Death and Healing Spirits.
In 2011, she was accused by the Daily Mail of using a hidden earpiece at a show in Dublin. Associated Newspapers later apologised and agreed to pay “substantial” damages to the her, after the article suggested she had “perpetrated a scam” on a theatre audience.
Ben Jardine
Businessman and property developer Jardine, 37, starred in Channel 4 series Married At First Sight, and tied the knot with his love match Stephanie. But he made headlines earlier this year when he was reported to have kissed another woman, and their marriage ended.
A day before entering the Celebrity Big Brother house, Jardine revealed he is expecting his first child at the end of the year, but he did not reveal his current partner’s identity.
He told the Sun Online: “They say ‘God loves to turn purposeless chaos into something beautiful’ and He (or She!) really has in my life! I have been blessed. Out of all the chaos of this past year something beautiful has happened, which I will forever protect and be grateful for.”
Hardeep Singh Kohli
The comedian and broadcaster, 49, was struck off BBC’s The One Show for several months in 2009 after “stepping over the mark” with a female researcher. He was removed from the weekday evening programme for six months after the researcher lodged a complaint about his behaviour two months previously.
He has also appeared in Celebrity MasterChef and Newsnight Review, hosted shows on BBC Radio 4 and performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Kohli was an outspoken supporter of a ‘yes’ vote for the Scottish referendum, and in 2014 he joined the Scottish National Party.
