Chloe Ayling is the second star to be evicted from Celebrity Big Brother.
The model, who hit headlines last year when she was kidnapped in Italy, was up against broadcaster Hardeep Singh Kohli, who was saved for the second time from elimination in the public vote.
She was chosen by seven of her fellow housemates, including Kirstie Alley and Sally Morgan, for elimination because of her general lack of cleanliness and for not pitching in with housework.
In her post-exit interview, Ayling told CBB host Emma Willis: “I thought the public would maybe see a different side to me and that’s what I wanted to achieve on this show.
“I wanted to be myself and be the real me instead of how I was perceived in the media. I wanted a bit more time to do that, I maybe take a bit more time to open up.
“I’d have liked a bit more time to stay in.”
The 21-year-old added that she had “so much shit from the public and I really wanted to turn that around”.
Ayling was then visibly shocked when Willis revealed that Jermaine Pennant, who she had grown close to in the house, was married.
It is unclear how much Ayling knew about 35-year-old Pennant’s relationship, but she claimed he had told her he had a girlfriend on the outside and that things were “f*****”.
Ayling was shown footage of Pennant telling other housemates that he was married, much to their surprise.
Ayling, blinking back tears, said: “I don’t even have words at the moment, that’s disgusting, to be married and then try to crack on with someone on TV when your wife is going to see that.
“It’s disgusting.”
She added: “What just happened now (before leaving), he pulled me in the bathroom because he wanted to talk, not in front of the cameras. He said, ‘just play it down’… He said we’ll talk on the outside, and that’s how we left it.”
The sports star, who has been married to glamour model Alice Goodwin since 2014, said he likes Ayling while in the house.
He and Ayling had also been reprimanded for breaking the show’s rules by exchanging written notes using Ayling’s eyeliner.
Ayling said Pennant told her in one message “I like you”, but he later said it was “banter”.
She told Willis that she felt like Pennant had led her on.
Willis also told viewers that they will have the power to choose who faces the boot for the next eviction.
Fans can vote for their favourite housemate, and on Friday the two housemates with the fewest votes will learn of their fate.
Their co-stars will then have to decide who to eliminate live on the spot.
Celebrity Big Brother continues on Channel 5.
