Idris Elba’s new wife Sabrina Dhowre has described their wedding as “the best day of my life”.
The couple tied the knot in a ceremony at the Ksar Char-Bagh hotel in Marrakesh in Morocco on April 26.
Writing on Instagram, she said: “The best day of my life, thank you to everyone who helped make it so special.”
She shared a string of photographs taken by British Vogue, in which she wore a custom gown by Vera Wang, while the Luther actor wore a bespoke suit by Ozwald Boateng.
Among the guests were Vogue editor Edward Enninful, who took to the drums at one point during the lavish party.
Videos shared by TV presenter Maya Jama on her Instagram story show Enninful on the dancefloor alongside Elba and Dhowre, who showed off their moves to Beyonce’s Love On Top and Vossi Bop by Jama’s boyfriend Stormzy.
Elba appears in the music video for the grime star’s new single.
He can be seen in a white T-shirt in the Instagram video, while Dhowre wears a different white dress.
The couple got engaged last February after Elba dropped to one knee during a screening of his film Yardie at the Rio Cinema in Dalston, east London.
Elba and Dhowre, a model and former Miss Vancouver, had reportedly been dating since early 2017.
The London-born actor was previously married to Hanne Norgaard and Sonya Hamlin.
