Two new female arrivals to the Love Island villa are set to ruffle feathers – and one has already picked her target.
Irish grid girl Maura Higgins, 28, and 26-year-old beautician Elma Pazar from Essex shocked the Islanders with a late-night arrival to the villa on Tuesday.
Elma has already set her sights on recent arrival Danny Williams.
The eyelash technician from Essex described the model as “pleasing to the eye”, but hinted her attention could shift elsewhere.
She also showed an interest in boxer Tommy Fury, but said she worried his head would be turned.
She said: “I’m a girls’ girl so I don’t want to tread on toes but it is part of the show. It’s kind of every person for themselves.
“At the moment I like Danny, who has just gone in. He’s pleasing to the eye. Tommy is nice too, but he’s quite young. His head gets turned a lot.”
She also predicted she would become best friends with Yewande Biala, who has so far been unlucky in love on the ITV show.
“She’s a scientist and my brother studies physics,” she added.
Elma described herself as a “big ball of energy” who is “really loud” but doesn’t take anything too seriously.
She said her perfect man was a combination of Jack Fowler and Jack Fincham from last year’s series and named Tom Hardy as her celebrity crush, adding: “He’s beefy.”
Through her modelling work Maura, from Co Longford, took part in a shoot with former One Direction star Liam Payne.
She said she would “go extreme” to get the man she wanted, but admitted to never having used dating apps such as Tinder.
She said: “I’ve never been on a dating app. I haven’t really been single much but I would probably meet someone on a night out.
“I don’t really meet people over social media. I’ve had people slide into my DMs but I just ignore it.”
Maura did not say who she planned to pursue but that he would have to have a sense of humour.
“I would go for personality more than anything,” she said.
“I would definitely look for someone who is really honest and a very confident guy, but not arrogant and definitely someone who makes me laugh.
“They have to have banter, without a doubt.”
Love Island, which is hosted by Caroline Flack, continues on ITV2.
