Emily Atack has said she and comedian Joel Dommett are a good fit as hosts on the I’m A Celebrity spin-off show Extra Camp because they have “zero sexual chemistry”.
The actress – who was runner-up on the reality TV show last year – and 2016 jungle favourite Adam Thomas are joining Dommett as presenter of the companion show.
Atack previously worked with Dommett on Singletown, and said: “We get on so well!
“I think what’s great about us is there is zero sexual chemistry whatsoever.
“We’re like brother and sister and that works!”
She went on: “I think when there are a female and male host, people hope that they flirt but it’s the opposite!
“We take the mick out of each other and it’s pally. We’re best pals!”
The actress also said she “couldn’t be more excited” to be returning to the jungle.
“That place has such positive energy for me because it changed my life,” she said.
Atack said since leaving the camp she has “missed the person it made me”.
She said: “I’ve missed that feeling of feeling so care-free and so loved and accepted that I was surrounded by.
“There is nothing in there that can get you… apart from cockroaches and spiders! But they don’t mean any harm and they don’t know that they’re scaring you!
“The world scares the shit out of me! I’ve never been so at peace with myself, I’m lucky that I got to experience that.”
Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway, reality TV regular Caitlyn Jenner, DJ Roman Kemp and football star Ian Wright are among the celebrities braving the jungle this year.
Actress Jacqueline Jossa, Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle, Rak-Su’s Myles Stephenson, Radio 1’s Adele Roberts, comedian Andrew Maxwell and former England rugby union player James Haskell will also be in the camp.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! starts on Sunday November 17 at 9pm on ITV.
