Emma Barton’s EastEnders co-stars have given their backing to the “lovable” actress on Strictly Come Dancing.
Her fellow actors believe Barton has been “slaying it” on the BBC show.
Louisa Lytton, Maisie Smith, Ricky Champ and Rudolph Walker have shared their support for their colleague.
They are all taking part in a Strictly special for Children In Need, with Lytton already a veteran of the ballroom floor.
She said of Barton’s successful run with partner Anton Du Beke: “I’ve been watching her, she’s doing so well.
“I knew she would anyway, she’s so lovable and talented and she’s got Anton so I knew she’d be in safe hands.”
Smith added: “She’s been absolutely slaying it. I saw her earlier and she said it was the perfect bit of reassurance that she needed – it was lovely to see her.”
Her co-stars will take part in a charity dance for Children In Need this year, partnering with Luba Mushtuk, Gorka Marquez, Kevin Clifton and Nancy Wu.
Albert Square stalwart Walker will be putting on his dancing shoes at the age of 80.
He will also be backing Barton in her push to triumph in Blackpool in the current series of Strictly.
Walker said: “She is just amazing. It’s almost an element of surprise for me seeing a different side to her.”
Champ added: “I have been watching Emma and she is brilliant. I love Emma and Anton, I’m rooting for them.”
Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will present the charity Strictly special on Friday November 15.
