Caitlyn Jenner has said she put up six-foot walls around her home before coming out as transgender.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, 70, said she was worried someone would take a picture of her and leak it to the press.

She told fellow I’m A Celebrity contestants Nadine Coyle and Jacqueline Jossa that she took the wall down the day she appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair.

The Olympic gold medalist, born Bruce, debuted her new identity in a corset on the cover of the magazine in June 2015.

She said: “This was before I came out because I couldn’t go out the front door to my pool because I thought someone would get a picture.

“The day Vanity Fair came out, the wall came down.”

She also said she makes sure to call her children when something untrue is written about them.

Jenner has six biological children – Burt and Cassandra with first wife Chrystie Scott, Brandon and Brody with second wife Linda Thompson, and Kendall and Kylie with third wife Kris Jenner.

Jenner said: “When I read something that isn’t true I call them up.

“Kylie posted something about how she didn’t like Snapchat as much as she used to and how she was thinking of going over to this other one and the stock of the company went down one and a half billion dollars.

“I called her up as it was all over the news.”

In the Bush Telegraph, Jossa said: “I have read stuff about Caitlyn Jenner but having lived with her for two weeks it’s been such an eye opener.

“Such an experience and it’s made me view her and her family as pretty normal.”

Former Girls Aloud star Coyle said she had experienced her own share of fake news.

She said: “Fake news takes all forms. Sometimes it’s you are dating someone you’ve never met or you’ve fallen out with someone that you’ve never had a cross word.

“You can’t battle every fake news story or you wouldn’t stop.”
